Supervisor Getting Started

Your guide to scheduling, logged sessions, and platform workflow.

How the ecosystem works

Island Clinical Supervision is the main platform experience. Acuity handles scheduling. Airtable is used behind the scenes for roster visibility and session tracking workflows.

Supervisors should use the dashboard for platform navigation, Acuity for availability and booking administration, and Airtable for roster related supervision tracking.

What supervisors should use each page for

  • Dashboard: your home base
  • Schedule: manage availability and booking setup through Acuity
  • Roster: view assigned supervisees, logged sessions, and progress in Airtable
  • Resources: workflow guidance and reference material
  • Support: platform help

Scheduling

Supervisees book through Acuity. Supervisors manage their availability, appointment settings, and group session structure there.

If a scheduling page opens in a separate tab, that is expected. Acuity is the scheduling engine used by the platform.

Roster and session tracking

Your supervisee roster and logged supervision records are managed through Airtable. This is where supervisors can review assigned supervisees and track progress over time.

Completed supervision sessions should be logged accurately so supervisee hours and progress stay current.

Logged sessions and hours

Members currently rely on supervisor logged data rather than self entry. That means the quality and consistency of supervisor logging directly affect hour tracking accuracy.

If something looks off, correct it as soon as possible or use support before the issue compounds.

Calendar sync and availability

Supervisors should connect their scheduling calendar and keep availability current before opening booking windows to supervisees.

Doing this early helps prevent double booking, awkward rescheduling, and confusion for members trying to find appropriate times.

When to use support

Use Support for access issues, Acuity setup problems, Airtable questions, confusion about workflow, or anything that prevents you from supervising effectively inside the platform.
